Our Summary Of The 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

When the USA Bat Standard came into effect in 2018, Rawlings developed an unrivaled two piece fully composite option that proved to be one of the highest producing USA bats of that year making it Rawlings’ signature bat model for the future. The 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro USA youth bat (offered in both -8 and -10) features all the same innovative technologies as last years edition while adding a few extra elements for enhanced durability, comfort and overall performance. Much like the 2018 version, the Quatro Pro holds a two piece 100% composite construction with an authentically balanced swing weight perfect for any type of hitter. The big 2 5/8 barrel utilizes Rawlings’ 3C carbon fiber composite material bound tightly by a new Longitudinal Flex Technology that layers the composite material throughout the entire length of the barrel creating a much larger sweet spot and more impactful trampoline effect when the baseball takes flight off the bat. The new 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro also features an additional flex system called the Focus Flex. This modification encompasses a reconstructed collar connecting the barrel and handle that delivers better control and a stiffer feel all while projecting any unwanted shock vibrations back through the barrel away from the hitter’s hands. Resting atop the barrel is Rawlings’ new light weight end cap with a unique concave design that ensures faster swing speeds and boosted confidence for your youth ball player. The 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro USA bat is a great option for complete and power hitters who prefer to swing bigger bats that produce harder hits.

Our Comprehensive Review of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

For the inaugural 2018 USA Bat season, 2018youthbats ranked the Rawlings’ Quatro first edition as the best fully composite USA bat model available. As the Quatro Pro makes its way into youth baseball dugouts across the country, its predecessor has set a high standard of performance. The Rawlings Quatro Pro was definitely one of the more anticipated USA bats coming out in 2019. After conducting our in-depth evaluation of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro, our staff unanimously agrees that this new version will provide the same levels of production as last seasons if not more. The new Quatro Pro comes with a slick new design, lots of pop especially for a USA bat, dependable material, and a level of comfort not found in most fully composite bats. After approximately 250+ swings of solid contact, the following is our review and evaluation of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro -10 drop.

Evaluating the Pop of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

Much like last season, the new Quatro Pro delivered a level of pop that trumps the vast majority of 2019 USA bats we have evaluated thus far. It seemed no matter the type of batter, this -10 drop Rawlings packs a punch as long as the volunteer hitter possessed the strength and skills to swing the stick with sound fundamentals. One particular volunteer wrote the following on his Scorecard; “I wish my mom got me this bat. Even my fouls were powerful.” Because of the composite composition, our staff broke in the barrel with 50+ swings prior to our evaluation. This gave us the opportunity to swing the bat ourselves. We definitely felt the brute force of the Quatro Pro when swinging through the zone. If pop is the number one element you are looking to exploit with your USA bat purchase, the Quatro Pro is money well spent.

Calculating the Vibration Control of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

After reviewing all of the volunteer youth hitter’s scorecards and the countless questions we ask following each station, we did not find any young batter that experienced a negative vibration or sting throughout the entire evaluation process. There are some variables that can obviously assist with achieving such a perfect score like warm climates or skilled end users. Outside elements can only help so much when it comes to vibration control. The true test lies within the technological advances within the bat, the connection mechanism the syncs the barrel and handle, plus the hitter’s ability to keep contact with the ball as close to the end cap as possible.

Assessing the Grip & Comfort of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

Reviewing feedback relies solely on the feedback given from our youth hitters. We ask them informative questions and perform certain drills that allow us to dictate how level of a swing a given bat can help produce. Determining how comfortable a young batter feels with a bat directly correlates to their confidence of each at bat. The Rawlings Quatro Pro received rave reviews from our volunteers. Experienced players who can really notice a difference in weight distribution and balance determined that this USA bat provided consistently level swings and a deafening sound.

Measuring the Durability of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

In being a composite bat, our staff broke in the bat with roughly 75-100 contact pitches. During this preliminarily review, the Quatro Pro did not acquire any major damage that would render the bat unusable.  After the volunteers had their cracks, some dings and many scratch marks appeared but the bat was still in great condition. One of the three Quatro Pros in our possession took on a bit more damage than the rest so it put a bit of a “dent” (We’re the best at Dad jokes, can’t you tell?) in the score.

Overall Experience of the 2019 Rawlings Quatro Pro:

Overall, the Rawlings Quatro Pro -10 drop delivers everything you hope for out of a composite bat that must abide by USA Bat Standard regulations. As a buyer, your player can expect big pop, excellent balance, and great protection on the grip. This bat has a high price for a good reason. 2018youthbats recommends the Quatro Pro for power and complete hitters ranging in age of 9-13 year olds!
